The NetHope Global Summit is the largest gathering of NetHope members each year, offering a unique opportunity to learn, collaborate, and get inspired.

The theme for the NetHope Global Summit 2019 is Vision. Action. Hope. We come to the Summit united by a common Vision that, through collaboration, technology has the power to change the world. We are committed to continuously learning how to translate this into Action, exploring and applying the promise and practice of digital technology to exponentially advance our missions. We will leave with a renewed Hope that we can transform our work and our world, improving the lives of the communities we serve. Our collective response in Puerto Rico symbolizes what we can accomplish together.

Our agenda is filled with engaging sessions that represent the expertise and practice of our members, as well as hands-on workshops, professional development opportunities, receptions, and more. The Summit agenda will follow a similar format as in previous years, with a few exceptions – notably a late start on Thursday with in-depth workshops and the introduction of service projects on Friday, taking advantage of our unique location near member field programs.

Sessions will be offered in the following formats

  • Keynote & Plenary Sessions: Daily plenary sessions present some of the most inspired thinkers in our industry and from our membership organizations, covering a wide range of compelling topics for our entire audience. These can vary from a single-speaker keynote, a panel discussion with a moderator and up to 4 participants, a fireside chat between two experts, or a series of rapid-fire presentations on a single topic.

  • Breakout Sessions: These 45-minute sessions on a thematic topic offer the ability to share case studies, experiences and proven solutions. These may vary from a single speaker to a group of subject matter experts who represent different perspectives and opinions in a given area.

  • Workshops: 2-hour hands-on, in-depth workshops will be offered on Thursday morning that offer advanced level information around a topic or skill and enable participants to gain more expertise in their area of interest. We encourage pre-Summit engagement with workshop registrants to maximize the time and value.

  • Breakfast Learning Session: These 45-minute sponsored learning sessions provide an opportunity to highlight a solution or tool. It is recommended to include a NetHope member in these learning sessions to discuss their best practices for implementation and/or use.

  • Training: There may be space to provide technical training opportunities on Friday. Training courses resulting in certifications are encouraged but not required. *Note this is based on the interest of our members.
