Information for Speakers
Thank you to everyone who applied to speak at the 2019 NetHope Global Summit. We received an unprecedented number of proposals and have worked to ensure the chosen sessions reflect a balanced and engaging agenda for the entire NetHope community. This has required grouping some speakers together into sessions on common topics and limiting the number of speaking opportunities for individuals and organizations.
Applicants will be notified by July 5, 2019 if their proposal has been accepted. You will receive separate notifications for each proposal you submitted.
All those offered presentation / speaking / panel slots must confirm acceptance by the published deadline of July 19, 2019. Speakers will not be added to the online agenda until they have:
Finalized their session information: This includes a final title and abstract for publishing on the online agenda, and all speaker details (must include name, title, organization, email, photo and bio).
Registered for the conference: Instructions have been distributed with session acceptance.
We are now working on developing the conference agenda. We expect the draft agenda to be published on August 5, 2019, which will provide your assigned time slot. We will contact you at this time with details to your account on the agenda site and app.
Types Of Sessions
Keynote & Plenary Sessions: Daily plenary sessions present some of the most inspired thinkers in our industry and from our membership organizations, covering a wide range of compelling topics for our entire audience.
Breakout Sessions: 45-minute sessions on a thematic topic share case studies, experiences, and proven solutions.
Workshops: Two-hour, hands-on, in-depth workshops on Thursday morning will offer advanced level information around a topic or skill and enable participants to gain more expertise in their area of interest.
Breakfast Learning Sessions: 45-minute learning sessions that provide an opportunity to highlight a solution or tool.
Training: Technical training opportunities will be available on Friday, based on interest of our members.
Session Scheduling: We try to schedule the Summit agenda along track themes so that participants can attend all sessions of interest. Additionally, we do our best to ensure that organizations do not have multiple sessions occurring at the same time. We will try to accommodate requests for days and/or times. However, given the number of sessions, this is not always possible.
Presentations: We ask that you upload all presentations and associated materials to the conference agenda site by October 4, 2019. We may make minor changes for layout and accessibility purposes. Please be sure to bring a backup copy on a USB.
Room Setup and A/V: Each breakout room will be set up in banquet style with a display screen, laptop (Windows OS), and wireless internet connection. PA equipment may be available depending on room assignment. Speakers are responsible for provision of all peripheral equipment including adaptors, convertors and cable connectors.
Photo/Video: Some parts of our conference will be live-streamed, and that may include your session. If you don’t want your photo or video to be taken, please let us know.
